Strengthening Ethical Standards: HKAPI Holds Code of Practice Train-the-Trainer Workshop
HKAPI successfully held a Code of Practice Train-the-Trainer Workshop on 29 April 2026, bringing together 91 representatives from member companies across Legal & Compliance, Commercial, and Corporate Communications functions.
The workshop, organized by the HKAPI Ethics & Compliance Working Group, featured interactive group discussions centered on practical case scenarios developed by the Working Group. These sessions enabled participants to deepen their understanding of the Code of Practice and explore how to apply its principles effectively in their day-to-day operations.
Participants responded positively to the training, expressing appreciation for the Working Group’s insightful and practical sharing. The workshop was widely recognized as a valuable platform for enhancing compliance capabilities across the industry.

The Association’s implementation of the Code of Practice is a key pharmaceutical industry benchmark within the region. First introduced in 1970 as the Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices, it was developed in alignment with internationally recognized standards. The Code is updated regularly to reflect evolving industry expectations, with the 21st edition launched in 2022. To support implementation, HKAPI continues to organize training workshops to equip members with the knowledge and tools needed to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct.
