講座:投資在香港

On 8 May 2019, a total of 42 participants from the HKAPI, InvestHK and Hong Kong Science Park attended the “Why Invest in Hong Kong” Seminar held at the Baker McKenzie Office in Quarry Bay.

Partnering with InvestHK, the HKAPI was delighted to create for its members this face-to-face engagement platform with relevant government stakeholders involved in building Hong Kong’s R&D Ecosystem. They presented what the Hong Kong Government has done so far in this aspect and listened to members’ input and comments on whether there are any gaps of what makes Hong Kong attractive to MNC pharma companies’ investment.

Speakers included Dr. David Chung JP, Under Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Dr. Chui Tak-yi JP, Under Secretary for Food and Health, Prof. John Kao, Head of Biomedical Technology Cluster of HKSTP, as well as Mr. Charles Ng, Associate Director-General of InvestHK.

It was also an honour to have Prof. John Chai, a Member of the Chief Executive’s Council of Advisors on Innovation and Strategic Development of the Hong Kong Government, attend the interactive panel discussion after the presentations and offer his valuable insights.
