The drug search function aims to enhance patients' knowledge on drugs as they have the right to know more about the medicines they are prescribed and take. Patients are entitled to know where they can have access to these medicines, and whether there are any alternatives. Therefore, the drug search function serves to provide a channel for patients and their family to have better knowledge on drugs.

Information of drugs provided on the website includes:

1. first registration year
2. availability
3. special and security features
4. license holders
5. contact details
6. drugs in the same pharmacological class

However, users of this function should note that the information provided is not aimed for self-diagnosis nor is it exhaustive, and the database is still expanding. In addition, information on generic drugs is not included.
